  • Attending the Bonavista Biennale 2017 as an assistant to invited artist Iris Haeussler.

  • Attended the Academy of Art Canada, a traditionalist drawing and painting academy, 2012-2016, completing level I of their program, which emphasizes cast drawing and painting fundamentals.
  • Attended workshops in portrait drawing and figure painting at Academy of Realist Art, a traditionalist drawing and painting academy, 2014.
  • Attended courses in drawing, life drawing, sculpture, casting, and figure painting at the Toronto School of Art, 2012-2014.
  • Education

  • Graduated with a B.A. (cum laude) in Physics from Harvard College, Cambridge, MA, 1985. Winner, Thomas Hoopes prize for outstanding senior thesis. Also edited Concerto, a student publication about the interaction of science and art.
  • Graduated high school from Lower Canada College, Montreal, Quebec, 1981. Full scholarship, 1975-81. Governor General's medal winner, plus high rankings in multiple national high school math contests.
  • Non-arts employment

  • Founded and ran Global Electronic Markets, New York and Toronto (2002-present), leading experts in FpML, the leading financial derivatives messaging standard, which is heavily used by all major derivative dealers for regulatory reporting as well as other functions such as confirmation and clearing. Developed and sold an FpML-based trade portfolio matching and reconciliation service.
  • VP at JPMorgan / JPMorganChase, New York City (1999-2002). Program manager responsible for launching FpML, and ran development of a major single-dealer electronic trading platform.
  • ED/MD at CIBC World Markets, New York City (1994-1999). Developed front, middle, and back office technology for OTC derivatives in 5 asset classes, and ran a quantitative development group developing option pricing models.
  • Project Leader at Rogers Cantel, Toronto (1992-1994), using object-oriented methods to design cellular rating and billing software.
  • Founder, Lynn & Company consulting firm, and consultant at Atomic Energy of Canada, Mississauga (1989-1992), advising on and designing safety critical software.
  • Software developer and team leader, CP Rail Computers & Communications, Toronto (1985-1988), developing safety critical software.
  •
